"Veiled Echoes"
21 July 16:00

Møn Summer Concert's 6th edition opens with an intimate program for harp, flute and viola.

The festival continues its focus on works and composers with less attention to today's scenes. This is also done through an ensemble that is very rarely allowed to make up an entire concert by itself.

Prof. Alena Walentin is in concert with her colleague and viola player Prof. Patrick Jüdt from the Kunstakademie Bern and Anne Denholm, who is solo harpist in the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

The next generation of young professional artists meet and work in intense interaction with selected professors from Europe's leading music institutions.

Prof. Hartmut Rohde from the University of the Arts Berlin, Prof. Patrick Jüdt from Bern Hochschule and Joanna Zathey are this year's teachers.

The program will be published after the auditions for the Masterclass & Festival Ensemble have ended on 1 April.

Gran Gala - Created by Møn
22 July 19:30

Møn Summer Concert presents, together with the Verdensballetten, music with enhanced senses through movement.

For the first time, Møn Summer Concert is a co-creator of two new works of art. Two new choreographies are presented, first by solo dancer Marian Walther and then by choreographer Eric Gauthier.

The world star Iana Salenko also dances, who can experience highlights from opera literature with the artists of the World Ballet and music played by the Møn Festival Ensemble.

Asmussen Homage
23 July 15:30

The end of this year's festival is in the company of three award-winning jazz musicians from Denmark, Sweden and Norway and the violinist Niklas Walentin, who together perform music from their upcoming album: Asmussen Homage.

The concert focuses on Asmussen's genius through 11 virtuoso solos written down by the Danish jazz legend.

It is extremely rare that jazz is written down, so this is a very special chance to experience the real Svend Asmussen, reinterpreted by the Danish violinist in a completely new ensemble with Snorre Kirk, Anders Fjeldsted and Calle Brickman.
