The festival Møn Sommerkoncert's presented in its 5th season a new course under the name "Masterclass & Festival Ensemble". The course gives young professionals who want to create a career in their own name the opportunity to work equally with professionals, established artists and professors from some of Europe's leading institutions.
The ensemble works during the festival with its own repertoire, which is subsequently presented both on Møn and further on at international festivals and concert series.
The ensemble consists of both young musicians and ballet dancers. At this concert, it is the ensemble's musicians who perform with this year's associated teachers Patrick Jüdt, Hartmut Rohde, Joanna Zathey, Alena Walentin and Niklas Walentin, in guest performances with Anne Denholm.

Møn Festival Ensemble
Møn Festival Ensemble made its debut at Møn Summer Concert's 5th edition.
The ensemble consists of young professionals who take part in Møn Summer Concert's "Masterclass & Festival Ensemble".
The ensemble subsequently performs at other international festivals and concert series, and has already performed at places such as Historiske Dage Copenhagen, Admiral Palast Berlin and has recorded music for this year's upcoming "World Ballet".
Patrick Jüdt
Patrick Jüdt is professor of viola, chamber music and contemporary music at the Hochschule der Künste Bern and teaches at ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy) and is artistic director of the Bern ECMA Session.
He performs at some of the most important music festivals and concert halls such as Wiener Festwochen, Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, Luzern Musikfestival, Ojay Festival (California), Berliner Philharmonie, Kölner Philharmonie, Tonhalle Zürich, Théatre des Champs-Élysées (Paris), Wigmore Hall (London ).
A close collaboration as a chamber musician with composers and musicians such as among others Helmut Lachenmann, György Kurtág, Heinz Holliger, Jürg Wyttenbach, Hansheinz Schneeberger has built up his deep interest in the intimate connection between avant-garde and cultural tradition.
Alena Walentin
Alena Walentin is known as one of the most versatile young flutists and has an international career as a soloist, chamber musician and guest flutist with leading orchestras.
She often appears as a workshop leader, adjudicator, chamber music teacher and is a professor of flute and chamber music at several leading institutions, such as the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Alena has performed solo works with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and has given numerous concerts in the major concert halls throughout Europe, North America and Asia.
Alena has appeared as a guest - 1st flutist - with many orchestras, including the orchestra in Covent Garden, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, The Philharmonia and MusicAeterna.
Joanna Zathey
As a pianist, Joanna Zathey is not only in demand internationally as an accompanist but also for her experience as a teacher and advisor in chamber music.
After studies as a soloist with Grzegorz Kurzyński and as a chamber musician with Prof. Dora Schwarzberg's has excelled at international competitions in both aspects.
She is an official accompanist at many of the biggest competitions in Europe and has received more than 70 honorary awards as an accompanist.
Since 2011, she has formed a permanent duo with violinist Jaroslaw Nadrzycki, where they have most recently recorded sonatas by Brahms for Orphée Classics.
Anne Denholm
Anne Denholm modtog sin kandidat i 2015 fra Royal Academy of Music (RAM) med udmærkelse, efterfuldt af Renata Scheffel-Stein Harp-prisen, Sir Reginald Thatcher-prisen og en Regency Award for bemærkelsesværdig præstation. Under hendes studier på The Royal Academy var hun den første harpenist til at vinde den historiske RAM Club Prize, to gange vinderen af Skaila Kanga Harp-prisen, og indehaveren af Headley Trust Award og John Thomas Scholarship. I juli 2015 blev hun udnævnt til officiel harpist for hans kongelige højhed Prinsen af Wales. Hun den femte kunstner, der har bevaret denne stilling siden genindtræden i 2000.
Hartmut Rohde
Hartmut Rohde is one of the leading and most in-demand European violists, known for his stylistic and rhetorical versatility.
He is particularly interested in bringing a historical approach to his interpretations of the classical, romantic and contemporary repertoires.
Among Rohde's regular chamber music partners are Janine Jansen, Jörg Widmann, Christian Tetzlaff, Kolja Blacher, Paul Meyer, Lars Vogt and David Geringas. He holds a professorship at the University of the Arts Berlin and is a founding member of the famous Mozart Piano Quartet, which undertakes extensive worldwide tours.
Niklas Walentin

With more than 25 international music awards, 6 albums and 70 annual performances as a soloist and chamber musician, Niklas Walentin is an internationally sought-after name.
He performs in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, and is also seen as artistic director at a number of festivals in Europe.
He often gives masterclasses at home and abroad, and is also co-founder of the ensemble Trio Vitruvi, which is behind the award-winning "Chamber Ballet"
