Møn Sommerkoncert's 6th edition starts with the concert series "Young Masters" where the participating musicians in the festival's "Masterclass & Festival Ensemble" present a specially selected solo repertoire performed with pianist Joanna Zathey.
Young musicians from all over the world come to Møn to work dedicatedly with classical music in an intimate collaboration through chamber music.
Each of them are convincing instrumentalists and their musicianship is to be enjoyed both in the concerts with the Festival Ensemble and when they appear as soloists at these concerts on the "Young masters" series.

Møn Festival Ensemble
Møn Festival Ensemble made its debut at Møn Sommerkoncert's 5th edition.
The ensemble consists of young professionals who take part in Møn Sommerkoncert's "Masterclass & Festival Ensemble".
At the "Young Masters" concert series, the young professional participants show their worth individually in a repertoire selected together with pianist Joanna Zathey and the festival's artistic management.
As far as possible, the repertoire shows the participants' special interest within the framework of classical music and what their thoughts and attitudes are when it comes to breaking them.
Joanna Zathey
As a pianist, Joanna Zathey is not only in demand internationally as an accompanist but also for her experience as a teacher and advisor in chamber music.
After studies as a soloist with Grzegorz Kurzyński and as a chamber musician with Prof. Dora Schwarzberg's has excelled at international competitions in both aspects.
She is an official accompanist at many of the biggest competitions in Europe and has received more than 70 honorary awards as an accompanist.
Since 2011, she has formed a permanent duo with violinist Jaroslaw Nadrzycki, where they have most recently recorded sonatas by Brahms for Orphée Classics.
